rhodielady_47 asked how the jelly cup gouache did when it was thinned and used like watercolor. It acted very much like watercolor. But I did notice that when it was overpainted it lifted quite easily - more easily than watercolor as a base coat would have. You can see it in the lettering below how the blue was mixing in with the red paint. I can see now why they recommend using regular watercolors for your first wash coat. They would stay put better.
I need to give
bill_schubert credit for this idea: collect Sunshine's molted feathers and use them in a collage.
I had a dream in the middle of the night and I remembered to write it down as soon as I had it. Scribbled on a tablet in the bathroom without wearing my glasses so I couldn't really see what I wrote as I wrote.
Very hard for even me to decipher. But there was enough to remember it this morning. I was in a little blue car. The size of a tiny electric car that you give to a little kid to drive around the yard. I could barely fit into it. I was going over snowfields, glaciers and mountains covered with snow. I had to go as fast as I could so the car wouldn't bog down in the snow and I would have enough momentum to get up the next hill. I arrived at a very posh natural history museum/academy for boys and parked the car inside the lobby. I ended up in the church/auditorium but I was carrying a rake that had leaves that were falling off it. That embarrassed me and I was trying to clean the leaves up with my hands and stuff them in my pocket. I took the rake back and left it with the little car. Looking for a restroom. Big hallways going in 3 directions with huge founder's portraits lining the walls looking down on you as you passed. I felt unwelcome. I assumed there would be a public restroom near the auditorium but there wasn't. Finally a museum guard showed me where it was. Far, far away at the end of a hallway. The door to the restroom was like a igloo tunnel that you had to crawl on your hands and knees down and then up to get in. I asked, didn't they have a handicapped restroom that might be easier to get in? No.

Dave and I both woke up at 3 am this morning. He had set his alarm for 4 so we had an hour extra to talk and catch up. It's deer hunting season again. I always feel a little lonely and ignored during deer season. But maybe if I got up at 4 every morning with him we could connect?
Art group today. Looking forward to that. And I got another new art supply that I want to try out today. TCW Light and Fluffy Modeling Paste. I put it on a page of my book last night and it's dry now. I want to see what that texture will looked like when it's painted over.
