Had a good time at Berdella's yesterday. Talking, laughing. We got takeout food from Grantham's for lunch and it was a little disappointing. I think I can give up my lusting after their Seafood Salad for a while. I got most of the Letting Go book bound while there and finished it later when I got home. In the afternoon we dropped Sebby off at FedEx (his first real day of work) and then we went out to dinner with Chloe and Mike at El Toro. Which was very good. I had vegetarian meal #2. That will be my way to go from now on. After the meal we checked out the car lot next door and looked at cars and trucks. Fun to imagine owning this or that one. A van big enough to travel the country and live in. A Humvee - no - I'd be too embarrassed to drive it. A white pickup truck with back seats that might be good for Dave's next vehicle.
Woke up around 3 and came to find Dave was awake too. So we stayed up talking. Got out of bed at 5:30 to start the day.
I'm getting a lot of enjoyment from thinking about and planning what I want to do with the Letting Go book. I've decided now that wouldn't it be great to sprinkle tarot card images throughout it. Starting with the Fool on the first page and ending with the World on the last.
Today is going to be another full day. Full of house cleaning (Johnny and Alison are coming to visit on Friday for a week and I hope we can have everyone here at least once) and piano practice (music lesson tonight). Also my replacement steel tongue drum is supposed to arrive today. Looking forward to that.
Still dark and cloudy - some rain expected later in the afternoon...
