I finished gluing the stained glass pieces down on the right hand panel just now. This panel shows their house that they built themselves, and their pets in bubbles around it. Up in the sky is a cloud with their beloved dog Jackson who passed away. Chloe and Mike see themselves as Wolf and Rabbit and I put them over the house holding hands. Next step: grouting. Going to use black grout and then paint the grout with different colors of metallic paint afterwards. I figure I will not try and grout everything, or even one whole panel in a day. Planning to just mix up a pint of grout at a time and work my way across it. I haven't done it that way before but I've read that it's a good way to go. Last time I did a big panel (about 3' by 2') all at once I regretted it. It was too hard to clean the grout off so much especially when you have tesserae of different thicknesses.
