The question:
24 Do you prefer to receive money/gift cards or an actual gift?
An actual gift. This year when people asked me what I wanted I sent them a link to some different yarns they could buy on amazon.
For some reason it's hard for me to believe that today is christmas eve day already. Today will be a cleaning day. Going to gather up from the living room and put away the mosaic and the octagon blanket. Also need to wrap presents.
I just have one more of the smallest triangles to make for the blanket (which I will do when I get off the computer here). Going to put it all in a bag and then save it till after xmas to sew together. (Updated) - all the parts done now and laid out on the bed to get an better idea of how it will look:
It'll be something like this. I might tweak the placement of things a bit.
Some pictures I took yesterday when Jan and I hiked around Deer Run trail at the Erie wildlife Refuge:
This is what happens when you try and take a picture with a crappy cellphone through the smeary telescope at the refuge. Reminds me of a picture of the moon. The Bald Eagle Who Lives on the Moon.

Bark. I think this is yellow birch.
Two beech tree feet.
I liked how the floor slats showed through the snow.
Another thing that looks like the moon. Hole patterns in the frozen lake. In the upper left corner you can see where some little critters walked across.
A dark and rainy day today. Maybe that's for the best - makes me more willing to stay in and clean.
