5 How do you keep up to date with the news?
We don't get regular TV here, or cable, or satellite. We do get the local newspaper online and Dave reads it most everyday. He lets me know about things of interest. Actually I learn a lot from LJ and other non-news sources, hearing what people are talking about or writing about - then I look it up. I rarely go to FB and wouldn't trust anything I did see there. I spend a lot of time on snopes afterwards if I do visit FB. I wish other people would do fact checks before they post that stupid shit. Since the election started I've been checking results on my phone by asking Hey Google, Election Results. It started to look encouraging last night. I was so relieved. The thought of living another four years with that as our "leader" was very depressing. But it is worrying that he will not be leaving easily. He will go out kicking and screaming all the way. What an ass.
A health care nurse will be coming today from our insurance company. I guess to encourage us to behave ourselves and do the right things health-wise. Both Dave and I tried to put this off and tell them we didn't want it. They started calling to set it up back in April. We know what it's like from other visits. Dumb. But they call back week after week so finally I said I give up. Just come and get it over with. I cleaned off the dining table, Hazel and I swept and vacuumed the floors last night and I cleaned the bathroom. That's enough. Now we have to wait. They are supposed to come today sometime from 8 am till noon.
My card today was the Ace of Swords. A good card for new beginnings, new thought processes.
