So, what have you been up to lately? What's on your mind?
Pause.
I am finally able to switch gears now with the mosaic. I have all the ceramic parts glazed - the last ones are in the kiln right now. I avoided painting these last ones. Seemed hard. I wanted to put realistic portraits of their pets on medallions to be incorporated in the mosaic and doing realism is harder. I much prefer doing cartoonish, or expressionistic things. I'm not exactly pleased with how they turned out but it was the best I could do. I had to get it done. The anxiety I had yesterday while working on them was enormous. Blaa. But today I feel free and ready to move on. Like the drawing I did this morning. I can take a pause and be in an open space for a bit. The next part of the mosaic will be time consuming but mentally easy. Just put the tesserae in place and glue them down. I'll need to clean up certain parts of the workspace so I can reach the stained glass easier. Also need to buy some glue. I might take Rainy for a little walk at Two Mile today to celebrate.
