5 What are you a geek about?
I know more than the average person about a lot of different art processes. But I am certainly not an expert. I'm like a jack of all (art) trades, but the master of none. I love learning a new one. That's probably why I never get to be a master. I keep moving on to new.
I took a before and after shot of the things I fired last night. I love how changed things are when the glazes melt:
Before.
After. The glaze crawled on the ones in the middle and I will need to retouch them. My glaze is old and maybe that's why it happened. I'm not sure. That's why I'm a jack and not a master. I'm still learning how to do this right.
A shot of the ceramic elements I have accumulated so far. I won't be using all of these but I will have them available along with stained glass to fill in other parts of the design. I still need to glaze a little house with its animals, the sun, the moon, the stars and the New Orleans lamppost. After I get them I will be better able to lay things out in their proper places.
