lotsa horses

Rainy and I ended up at Two Mile. I couldn't get Dave interested in driving anywhere and I didn't want to use up gas driving to a far place by myself. I didn't park at the horse trailer parking lot this time but we still saw a lot of horses. This time when horses came up behind us we got far off the trail with plenty of time to spare and no horses seemed afraid of us or too wary to pass by. The first group had 2 dogs with them. Well behaved dogs who just looked at us and passed by. Rainy hid behind me and behaved herself. I caught up with this group at a picnic spot and asked if they minded if I took a picture of one of their horses. The guy said, sure, I can do you one better - how about you get up on a horse and I'll take your picture? No, but that's nice. Not what I want. I just want a picture of a horse. The second group we came across had about 10 horses in it, 2 dogs and one donkey that was loose and just running along with the rest of them. The donkey's name was Dolly. I know because Dolly wanted to stay behind and check me and Rainy out and they had to keep calling her to catch up with them.

Came home from that and had a bowl of leftover zucchini soup. I made the soup yesterday and it was the best zucchini soup yet. I made it a bit different this time - even simpler. This time I added curry powder and sugar. Recipe:
1 T butter
3 zucchinis (cut into cubes)
5 fresh tomatoes (peeled and chopped up)
1 onion (chopped)
1 t dried basil
1 t of Mrs Dash Onion and Herb
1 t curry powder (maybe more would be even better)
1 T sugar or more to taste
1 t salt
Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for maybe a half hour till zucchini is done.

We have 5 more zucchinis to use up and I will be making this soup again. I'm proud of us that we are getting through zucchini season and haven't wasted any.
