The question:
17 If you were chosen to be the first human to make contact with aliens, would you want to?
Not sure. Probably not. Don't think I would be up to it. I would love to observe the aliens though. I enjoy studying the ways of other animals, and people - myself included.
I woke up from a nightmare this morning. I dreamed I was coming home on a school bus even though I was an adult. It seemed like the bus driver was annoyed at me and I couldn't find a seat that she approved me sitting in. When I got off the bus at my childhood home it was dark, like all the light had been sucked out of the world. There was a car crashed into the front of the house and junky cars and motorcycles parked on the lawn. A man opened the door and told me to get out of there if I knew what was good for me. I knew they had taken my pets and I would never see them again. That hurt very much. Everything I owned was gone - they had taken it all. I had the clothes on my back and a phone and that was it. I started to run to town ( I could run surprisingly well in the dream) to Nancy's house to see if I could stay with her for a few days then I remembered she was having company and wouldn't be able to have me. I was looking up Chloe's number to see if she could come pick me up when I woke up. There was no Dave in the dream and no Jules, no man in my life to ask for help. After I woke up the song by Nina Simone played in my mind, "I Got Life". I have been thinking about Nina Simone a lot lately. Last night I finished watching the documentary about her on netflix called, "What Happened, Miss Simone?" I had no idea of her backstory before watching that. When I was a teenager she was one of the first artists I listened to - I felt drawn to her songs and her voice. I didn't know anything much about her life till now though.

Anyway. I'd recommend watching the documentary.
Pictures I took yesterday:
At Two Mile Run Park. The place where Splane Run comes out of the ground. Someone built a wall around this little pool long ago.
I'm getting in the habit of having an evening constitutional walk to the creek. On my way back I always go by Dave's garden and here he was last night watering.
A mystery solved - where did all the eggs go? The window well.
Kathy sent me a wonderful little framed box with a stained glass back for my birthday. It has one of her handmade wire trees in it. A close up.
This morning - the bird tree box on my shelf in the morning sun.
A sunny beautiful day today. Planning to hike with Rainy this morning before it gets hot and then Practice PIANO. Music lesson at 3 and I want to sound better than I did last week. :-)
