The question:
24 Do you have what you consider to be a good habit, but is one that likely annoys other people?
I suppose that my concern about food (calories) can annoy others. I am trying to lose weight (get my food intake under control) right now and am counting every calorie using the MyFitnessPal app. It might annoy others when I talk about it. Or won't eat when they want to eat. Or choose foods lower in calories and fat.

I had a pleasant surprise this morning when I looked back over my paper journal and saw that this weekend the chicks will be 6 weeks old. Six weeks old was when I planned to put them outside. Somehow I got it mixed up in my mind and thought I would be putting them out on May 1st and really it is April 25th! So that will be what I'm doing this weekend. I had a heater already placed in the little coop but I hadn't used it yet so wasn't sure how good it would be. Just out of curiosity (didn't realize yet that I would be using it so soon) I tried the heater out last night and it seemed to raise the temp in there up by about 9 degrees. This morning it was 46 F outside and 55 F inside in the coop. I think that will be good enough. They are pretty well feathered now. Now the question is will I put them out in the run in the daytime today and hope they know enough to go up into the coop tonight to sleep or should I wait till night and put them in then so they can experience immediately where the safe sleeping place is? Now that I've written it out I think the second choice is the best.

Other than fine tuning the little coop today (installing the feeder and waterer) I think I will make more masks. I figure if I make 8 more I will have enough for all the people who have expressed an interest in having them. Chloe, Mike, Jan, Kathy. I made 7 yesterday. I want to think this will be over soon but I'm pretty sure it won't be. Having masks that can be washed will be a good thing for the long haul. At least I feel like I'm doing something positive.

Yesterday Chloe took over the care of a rabbit that used to belong to Mike's young niece Molly. He's called Hoppers though Chloe is planning to change his name. Mike built him a really nice big cage with a screened bottom so the rabbit can be on grass. They will be able to move the cage to fresh grass when he eats or soils where he is.

He should really enjoy his new home. He old home was only the size of the box inside that big cage. Lots more room now.
