Asking Andy if he wants to go on a walk. I've never see a dog who turned his head as much as Andy does when you ask him a question. We ended up going to a new (to us) trail on a gamelands near Polk. A few pictures:
A nice little waterfall.
Sunny and very windy. It sounded like the woods were roaring all the time. We decided to go here because of the danger of limbs falling in the regular woods. Here there were more open spaces.
Andy cooling off in the water of a ditch. Dave asked him a question so we could see his head tilt again. It got pretty warm - up to about 73 F. I was in my short sleeves and tied my jacket around my waist.
This was a neat rock.
We had to put Andy on the leash on the way back. We saw a family walking in the distance. Andy is a good dog and would never hurt anyone but some people don't appreciate big strange dogs running at them.
On the way home we stopped at McDonald's and I got a fish sandwich and cup of ice cream. We must have had a lot of rain last night. All the creeks we passed are at the top of their banks and the islands in the creeks are under water. When we pulled into the driveway we could see the water was pooling in the lower back yard. I ended up going to bed for a nap after I got home. The sun and the wind seemed tiring.
