The question:
8 What will you miss the most when the world finally runs out of petroleum?
Hopefully nothing. I will not miss polyester yarn or polyester clothes. We're waiting for a four wheel drive electric car or truck to come along and when it gets old enough so that we can afford a used one we will get it. Though they make plastic from petroleum too. I guess we will go back to glass bottles and glass things and maybe that will be good. Maybe we will get back to getting money for returning glass bottles again. No more wax crayons or waxy colored pencils - might miss that. So many things made of plastic - my laptop case is plastic. We will live in a wood and metal world again - maybe. That sounds kind of nice. We do heat with natural gas though. And if we suddenly lost that I would miss it.
Saturday. OA and then taking David Z shopping - maybe we will visit Lori in the nursing home again.
Remember JBlindsight? Used to be here on LJ? She got sick of being on her computer so much so finally she just quit. That was the reason I thought she dropped out of LJ anyway. I admired that. Though I think LJ is the best part of the internet for me. As I've said before it is the street where I live. I don't live on Facebook street - I live on LJ St. It is a big part of my social life. But it would be good for me to cut way back on my general interneting. What good does it do me or anyone or anything that I gleefully read or watch everything that I can find that makes fun of or is outraged by Rump and "the gop"? I would really like to cut back on my interneting. That would mean LJ too. I was writing in my paper journal this morning about all the things I would really like to do but where would I find the time for it? The answer is so simple: Cut Back On Internet Time. I've known this before and tried to do something about it but eventually failed. I want to try again though - want to address my "internet addiction".
