First thing this morning I did a thing I should have done long ago. Replaced the new router (that only worked some of the time) with the old router (that worked all the time but was slower). All seemed to go well. Both computers and my ipad and phone are now connected to the internet. But when I try to print something I am running in problems. The printer doesn't recognize the old router it seems. I might have got that printer after I got the new router. Baa. Something electronic and programy to fix now.
It is a beautiful day today. Sebby says he'd like to bike with me and we are planning to go to Wilhelm. But since he's a teenager he doesn't want to wake up till 11 and we won't get started till noon so I have some time till then. I’ll be fussing with this stupid printer I guess...
Edit (only about 20 minutes later) - Yay! Did it. I had to go to the little screen on the printer and work from that direction to it get to be recognized by the router.
Well, the real thing I am dreading that I need to do is clear off the top of the paper cabinet I have in the basement. There is a water leak from the kitchen above and it has ruined a lot of the stuff I had on top of that cabinet, maybe the cabinet itself and the papers I have stored in it. I don't know yet the extent of the damage. I put things on top of the cabinet when we moved into this house in 1999 and have basically never needed any of that stuff all those years. It should be an easy thing to throw all that in the garbage. I have junk stacked in front of the cabinet and haven't opened the drawers for a while. Need to look inside and it will be a sad thing if the papers inside are ruined. I'm on a roll now with the printer fix - maybe I can tackle this next thing too.
