A picture that Ali took of Johnny and Rainy on Sunday night after they got back. We had a good time with Michael while Johnny and Alison were at the convention. Though next time he comes to visit I think I need to tell him no more pies and baked goods. He is a great baker but I feel overloaded with too many sweets and fats now. I don't have much self control once those things are in the house.
My left knee is acting up terribly. I thought it was a bit better with the ibuprofen I was taking last week but it started to bother my stomach (constant heartburn - or was that because of the baked goods?) so I quit and then the pain came back with a vengeance. I have an appointment to see the PA at my doctor's office this afternoon. It does look like there is a swelling on one side. We all went to Two Mile Run lake yesterday. Dave, Michael and Johnny went fishing in the boat and Alison wanted to relax on a hammock and read but Sebby and I were planning to hike. I can walk in spite of the knee pain so I thought I would be okay. I wasn't. Didn't get very far and I apologized to Sebby that I just couldn't go any farther. Went home and went to bed to rest. Later we all, plus Chloe, met for dinner in Clarion before Johnny, Alison and Michael left for the long drive home to Reading.
Ramadan came to my attention somehow on the internet this morning so I thought I would look it up. I knew nothing about it before except that it is a Muslim holiday. Came to find it is a month of fasting and prayer and today (June 4th) is the last day of it. They fast from sunup till sundown and at sundown eat very little for the whole month. Tonight will be the big day to finally break their fast.
I'm going to start to put Andy's E collar on everyday now. While company was here he got very excited and THREE times he ran out (snuck, squeezed through) the front door while people were going through the door. Twice he went onto the highway. He does not listen at all to me (or even Dave) calling him back. So I think he needs some training to "come" again. He has always been headstrong (and ignored being called till he was ready to come) but it has gotten worse I think.
