east sandy creek walk

Black and white picture taking continues...

A stairway down to a campsite. A sign there said, "open to fishermen". On our way back we walked along the creek and came up by way of this stairway.

Jan and Berdella.

A distinctive rock in the middle of the creek near the camp. There was a sandy beach nearby. We could imagine how nice this area would be in the summer for swimming and sitting on that rock.

Jan posing by the rock.

Me - I look like a pack animal with camera bag, purse and coat wrapped around me.

Nice picnic pavilion.

Water in a ditch with seeds floating on top.

Leaves in water.

Graffiti art on a bridge abutment wall. There is elephant art like this in the tunnel about a mile from here too.

I took a 2 hour nap when we got back, ate dinner and then gathered up the garbage for garbage night. Yesterday I had sorted though all the gardening stuff beside the house and tonight I loaded what was no good into the trash and stored the good stuff in The Barn. Job done - yay me. I've wanted to get that cleaned up ever since we moved back into this house in 2013 but didn't have any place to store it till now. I'm making plans for an addition to the front flower garden this year. I want to put a raised shelf beside the house and put potted succulents on it interspersed with my knickknacks.

An update on how the dining table is doing. Yes! It is still being kept clear. I got some vintage (1960's or 70's?) placemats on etsy that I really like. Before this we just used old newspapers and magazines under our plates - this is way better. :-)
