I think Bear Wallow trail got its name cause a lot of it is like a wallow. Probably the best times to hike it would be in the middle of frozen winter or in the driest part of summer (July or August). Kind of wet and mucky today and we had to go off trail a lot to avoid the puddles. This picture was taken from a log where we sat and had a snack of oranges, trail mix and hot coco. This shows a nice part of the trail - not a muddy part. Candy's son Tom joined us today. It's nice to have male energy along sometimes and I like Tom a lot.
