Well, I've finally got the commissioned pendant design worked out. It is totally different from the design that the customer originally wanted. The thing that turned me off originally from this job was that she wanted something like another pendant by another person. I dislike it, and refuse to copy other people. But the final design is totally mine - as much as that is possible (since truly there is nothing new under the sun). There might be something like this out there, somewhere - but I didn't know about it before I started so I'm okay with it.
Just for interest here is the pendant that she showed me first (it is pretty cool) that she wanted me to riff on, and my final design. It morphed into her wanting phases of the moon which changed everything:
The weather has warmed up a lot today. The snow is melting. Dave went ice fishing - he thinks this might be the last day he will be able to.
Last night Hazel dyed half her hair black and the other half is purple. I like it.
