A beautiful day today after all the overcast days we have had. Jan and I walked out to the Kennerdell Overlook. It was still below freezing which was good - the mud in the paths was frozen and it was easy walking.

Allegheny River and Kennerdell. I know, I always take the same pictures, over and over. But I like these views and I like that it looks different on different days.

Afterwards we drove out to the Kings at Barkeyville for lunch. I got a fish dinner and took half home. I do love to eat out. I think that is how I'm going to handle the large meals you get when eating out - just make it a habit to only eat half. I might even start to carry my own plastic take out containers so I don't always have to ask for styrofoam boxes.

Oh, and I felt very ingenious today. I took an old yoga mat and cut it into rectangles to sit on when we're out in the woods. It kept our butts warm and dry when we sat on the icy bench at the lookout. It worked great. What a luxury! It also worked for sitting on wet logs. I'm going to cut two more - one for Dave and one for Candy too to put in their backpacks.
