at oil creek today

Jan and I hiked 4 miles at Oil Creek this morning on the ski trails and the Gerard trail. The Gerard trail had a scenic overlook:

Things have become November Brown mostly but when the sun is out there are nice russet places. We were lucky and the sun shown in patches a lot of the morning, though not at the time that I took the above photo.

I felt pretty good going the 4 miles today - I think my plantar fasciitis is getting better - yay! I'm looking forward now to a winter season of hiking more often.
