Since Candy and I didn't get out on Monday (raining) we biked today. We went on the bike trail from Belmar to Fisherman's Cove and then past there a couple more miles on the dirt road to the covered bridge near New Route 8. It felt good to get out and be on the trike today - no pains during the ride - in my right foot or otherwise. Right now I think the thing to do for my foot is more biking and less walking.
Candy in the covered bridge. For some reason it has tires all along the one side. I can not figure out why.
The little stream that the covered bridge crosses.
New Route 8 overhead and Sunshine. One time I was biking around the yard and Hazel saw me out of the corner of her eye and she said the first thing she thought she was seeing was an old woman in a weird wheelchair. I laugh every time I think of that. It does look like a strange little wheelchair. And though I don’t usually see myself that way, I am getting to be an old lady.
Candy wanted a picture of me today. She said my hair looked nice. Aww.
On the way back we explored a swimming hole on Sandy Creek. This was the entrance. I liked how those 2 rocks framed the paths leading into it.
A knobby tree. Actually it was knobby cause idiot people had hacked on it with hatchets.
Pretty glade on the path to the swimming hole.
Candy by the sandy beach.
Beach.
Candy posing on a dragonish root.
On the way back we stopped to rest on a bench by the Allegheny River. This was the view from there. The river is very muddy from all the recent rain.
