Doctor David said I do have a broken toe but it will probably start to feel better in about a week. Take it easy! And I do have a heel spur and there are exercises I should do. I already knew about them and have been doing most of the stretching exercises - but I haven’t been doing them in a dedicated manner - just when I feel like it. And there is one I have not done at all - roll the arch of my foot over a ball or bottle. He said that was probably the most important one that I should do. So there you go - maybe the foot will get better now if I am more thorough with the exercises and dedicated. Other than that my health is good. I want to get out more and MOVE and maybe biking will be the thing to do while I wait for the broken toe to heal. Easy does it. I feel much better now - not so worried. I guess I let these things build up in my mind till they seem like the end of the world, the end of my body, the end of movement and getting out, the end of a pain free life. It’s not over yet.
The doctor got quite a kick out of the pattern of tan spots on my feet from wearing my sandals all summer.
I like Doctor David. He makes me feel like it will all be okay. That is the most healing thing he does.
