The weather turned out really nice - maybe a bit cool. I wore shorts and perhaps that was a mistake. But it didn't rain like it had been threatening for the last few days so that was good. Capt' Jan drove us to the far end of the lake near the dam. We stopped and drifted around there for a while and then slowly worked our way back up the lake to the marina. I think it would be a great idea of do this with the grandkids and family someday. You get to see lots of birds (terns and loons, great blue herons, bald eagles and ospreys) and it's just nice to have all the watery expanse around you. My favorite part is sitting still out there in the middle with the engine off and quiet.
