Sad to see you go. Very sorry - an end to an era. But is seems we are always watching our pets go. Unless you have a parrot or a tortoise, then they might see you go. I cared about Yoshi though it was harder for me to get attached to her. As a prickly lizard she didn't get into my heart as much as a soft furry pet might. I checked her after I wrote that entry this morning and she was gone. I left her alone. Then Jan and I went out to lunch and walking. Hot day. It started out not too bad but as the afternoon went on it got hotter. We were dragging on the way back from hiking to the dam at Two Mile Run. When I got home I took a long nap. Woke up ready to tackle the deconstruction of Yoshi's old home. With that space cleared and her tank gone there is more room in the living room but I haven't figured out a good way to arrange the furniture so it actually looks more crowded right now. I have a way to go to figure out what I'm going to do with that window spot. I feel like maybe I want to get rid of even more things in the living room now.
Jules asked me what did I do with her? I wrapped her in newspapers, wrapped that in a double layer of plastic bags and put her in the freezer. When the grandboys get back this weekend we can have a proper burial.
