good morning rainy day

It is a Rainy day (going to pick up Rainy), not a day that it is raining. It looks sunny so far and very nice. I am looking forward to getting Rainy and of course (since I am me) worried and projecting problems. Dave hasn't finished the dog fence so I think it will be difficult taking both dogs out to potty till that is done. And I just hope that Andy behaves himself. He is not a mean dog, he is a playful dog but when he first meets other dogs (sometimes) he puts on a big display of barking (meanly). I don't want Rainy to be traumatized. I suppose they will work it out - they are both dogs and will understand their dog language, maybe better than I can. I want to take Andy with us and have him meet her in the neutral fenced in area that they have near the building. I just hope he behaves (nicely) and doesn't go into an aggressive mode. I don't think he has ever met a small dog before. Only big dogs or dogs nearly his size. What will he make of her? I do believe the two dogs will work it out just fine as time goes on. Maybe I am afraid of being embarrassed by how Andy might act in front of the director of the shelter? Surely she is used to barking dogs and dogs putting on aggressive displays?

I feel a little better after writing it out.

I haven't written here for a couple days. On Wednesday Jan and Berdella and I walked. We went to a new place - the area near the dam at Pymatuning Lake. It was such a nice day - not hot at all. We hiked around the woods and then up to see the dam. Here's some pictures:

Jan and Berdella getting ready to go across the foot bridge into the woods.

At the water intake building by the dam.

After walking we had lunch at "Bob's" - a bar and restaurant in Jamestown (the locals call it Jimtown - I like that). Bob's, from the outside just looks like an old house and not that great but they had really good food.

And here's a portrait of Nancy from our breakfast yesterday:

Hazel came by last night to get some of her stuff and I was really glad to hear she's doing very well. She got her old job back at Goodwill and has a good chance for an even better job at Sheetz. She made a new friend down in Elwood and brought Amber with her. She had been missing having a close girlfriend. I have a tendency to think I know what is best for people (young people) but they will figure it out for themselves.
