Getting ready to cut out tiny turtle earrings. They look like I drew individual little butt holes on each one but that is actually a mark to line them up when I turn them over and trace the other side. I was originally going to just make one pair of earrings with abalone stones, then thought, yeah, I should make some with yellow stones too. I like the golden tigereye, then thought amber would look good too. And maybe I should make some green ones and picked out Mohave turquoise and light green aventurine. Maybe I need a purple - people like purple - cape amethyst. So that's how I will end up cutting out the shapes for 6 pairs. Then they will probably sit in an ice cube tray for years with the stones till I actually make them... I wish I could see better. Next month I will be able to get new glasses. I hope that that will help and then I will feel more comfortable working on jewelry again. Right now it is a struggle..
We drive to Clarion to pick Johnny up later today. It will be his last home visit before he moves to West Reading with Alison. That makes me sad but I am happy for them too. He should have a better chance to get work over there. Well, that isn't exactly true - he should be able to work from home as a computer programmer wherever he lives. Alison already has a job there. And Alison's dad is glad to have them living with him for now.
