good morning sunshine

I've been driving Jules to work in the morning cause he hasn't found a car yet. The insurance company finally did give him a check for his old car but he hasn't had a chance to look for a new one. I like driving him to work. We are a pair of introverted people and don't reach out much so it's nice when something throws us together. I like getting out in the morning as the world is waking up. There was a beautiful wispy fog low down in the Sugar Creek valley today.

Pictures taken out front this morning on my way from the car into the house:

I did work on my jewelry some yesterday - keeping busy helps tamp down the wanting of things. I may get the two pendants I was working on finished today.

I saw the oncologist yesterday - she explained more about the tests and criteria they are using to determine the stage of cancer this is (was?). It is officially called stage 1A. It has the best chance of recovery. I feel bad when I walk through the cancer center and meet the eyes of other patients and think that they might be facing things that are much worse. I got off light. There are so many different kinds of cancer - many are much more aggressive than mine was. I just about fell apart facing this - what are they going through? How do they do it? One in every 8 women gets breast cancer. That is a fact. It is very common. Here are some statistics: If the cancer is located only in the breast, the 5-year relative survival rate of people with breast cancer is 99%. Sixty-one percent (61%) of cases are diagnosed at this stage. If the cancer has spread to the regional lymph nodes, the 5-year survival rate is 85%. I am so fortunate mine did not spread to any lymph glands.

Making progress on the baby blanket. I laid out all I have done so far just now to see how many more I should make. I think I might have it with about 20 more:
