march comes in like...

We took Andy down back to try out the ball thrower this afternoon and it was a big success. Really tired him out and made him more likely to stay with us for the rest of the walk to the creek and to the lake. Blustery weather and a few little spats of rain - then as we were heading back the sun came out.

Eating oranges - sitting on our rock seats.

I went over closer to get a photo of the father eagle. The mother eagle was sitting on the nest. I didn't want to get too close for fear I would disturb them so I couldn't get a good photo of the nest. You could barely see the top of her head sticking up anyway.

Dave and Andy waiting for me to catch up.

The rocks are wet with water from Andy shaking off. Even if you don't throw anything in for him to fetch he likes to go swimming.

Dave looking for interesting rocks.

A crinkly plant that is getting ready for spring.

The sun appears. I didn't even notice that ladder leaning against the tree being in the photo when I took it. All I saw was the contrast between the dark sky and the sun on things in the foreground. The ladder is a hunting stand a neighbor put up.

Bright yellow green moss.
