erie national wildlife refuge tonight
Fishing pier.
Nancy and I had dinner at the Sugar Lake Hotel (I had a fish sandwich and their beer battered fries) and then went out to the refuge afterwards.
Clouds in the water. There was some kind of little bug or something very tiny making little dimples in the surface of the water. It looked like it was sprinkling rain but it wasn't. Couldn't see what was doing it though.
Island near the fishing pier.
Reading the pamphlet about the refuge at the observation platform. For a wildlife refuge there was very little wildlife to be seen tonight. We saw a few bugs, a swallow, and a small flock of little birds passed by. Amazingly quiet - no birds singing. A cricket sounding for a little while. A crow calling far away.
Clouds. Waiting a long time for the sun to peek back out.

Flowers on the path coming back.
We saw more animals outside the refuge. A duck flew across the road as we left the parking lot. A couple great blue herons seen in the swamp near the road. A herd of cows coming back to their barn for milking.
