This is one of the things I like about ceramics and glazing - the surprise when you open the kiln the next day and see how things turned out.



This is how the looked as they went in - bottom layer. This had many of the things that I hope to use later for jewelry.



Middle layer. Flowers and leaves and a few rocks.



Rocks on the top layer.



This morning. Rocks done.



Leaves and flowers all good. The flowers will later get an overglaze gold dot in the center of each.



The jewelry parts are nearly all failures though. I guess this is another case of using old glaze that I didn't rejuvenate correctly. But I think most of them can be saved with a recoating of glaze on the areas where the glaze "crawled" off - I will add gum to the glaze next time. At least the things for the mosaic are good and I can continue working on that.
