Here are a few more pictures of highlights of our trip to California. Dennis and Sharon took us to an authentic re-creation of an medieval Italian castle that was also a winery - it was called something that translated to "Castle of Love". The tour guide kept testing us to see if we remembered the Italian name and I put up a block in my head to learning it (rebellious me).

A picture of part of the storage area for the barrels of wine in the basement - The whole storage area was the size of 3 football fields (if I got that right). It really was an enormous structure and pretty darn impressive:
And a picture of a couple newly transplanted olive trees as we were leaving - I loved those roots!:

Then we went to the Hess Winery. It had a large art gallery which I thought was pretty neat. You weren't allowed to take pictures inside but here are a few pictures of Kathy being silly outside in the courtyard - hugging her favorite statue and showing us the water lilies:
