I don't think about holidays much. It's Mother's Day today. All I have to do is think about being on the receiving end of it, not the gift giving end since both Dave's mom and my mom are gone. Jules wanted to take me out for breakfast but I asked him if we could do a bike ride instead. We have been wanting to do one but haven't had a chance yet. Johnny left with Alison and her dad to go to Reading for the summer - we said one last goodbye yesterday. Chloe and Mike are coming later today. I have lots of boxes in the basement that I want her to go through - maybe there will be crafty things she can give to her clients. That will help clear out the basement even more. We will order Chinese takeout for dinner. Sounds like a pretty perfect day to me.
Sunshine.
I just got done printing off the big pdf map of Cook's Forest State Park in smaller sections that I will then tape together. I am hungry for parks to hike in. I can see now why people rent a cabin for a week there. If we did that I would hike everyday. We do have a piece of property near there on the Clarion River that we could camp on. Ideas are coming together...
A Mother's Day memory. It was the day that Nanny goat gave birth to Honey and Rosie back in 1984. She was such a good mother - and my favorite goat ever.
