Appreciating the Peso
Okay, so that's a pun on the word appreciation.
Anyway, I'm happy now! I checked the currency converter and turned out it only costs 40-41 Pesos now to buy 1 Canadian Dollar (CAD). Same goes for USD. And since the Canadian dollar, when converted to USD, has just more or less the same rate as it had two months ago (change in 2 cents from 1.1 to 99c), it means the Peso appreciated, which is a good thing for exporters of Pesos (Hahahaha), Dollar-buyers and of course, the Filipino people.
Yey! We can buy more dollars with our peso now. That was a drop of 5 pesos! Hahahaha.
I can spend a bit more now. Haha. Or I could just choose to save even more. :P
*Yep, for the first time in 50 years, the loonie beat the greenback! w00t! It slid back though. Hahaha. However, according to Time Magazine, it is Canadian Newsmaker of the Year 2007. :P
