Free Comic Book Day

Strange Adventures' Free Comic Book Day was, as usual, really damn cool. It took me about ten minutes to sweep through and pick up all the books I was interested in. Then I went and stood in line for two hours to get sketches. Bryan Lee O'Malley left before I got a sketch from him. Actually, that's the cool thing. FCBD is now large enough that they couldn't actually hold it in Strange Adventures. So they rented a meeting hall at the church up the street.

But yeah, he was there, and it was really fun talking with him about the comic. I'm kinda disappointed that it's on hiatus and the animation project's on hold, but I'd also rather have him write a kick-ass ending than one he really didn't want to be doing. He said something like "I know I've got to draw some massive battles with thousands of clockwork soldiers and iron guard, but I'd rather draw my characters petting cats."
