Hello from Rome! I'll be back in the States in 6 days. Just barely long enough to adjust to California time before summer session 2 starts next Monday. We stayed in Les Houches, a city outside of Chamonix in the Swiss Alps last week. We had an indoor pool that I used daily and bomb buffet breakfast and dinner food. I hiked up one of the mountains there, visited a glacier ice cave and also went rafting in thunderstorms. Our guide was incredibly outgoing and we enjoyed standing up in the raft and walking around the edges. We also waded in a warm lake - after rafting in glacier Arve River. I was scheduled to para-glide as well, but the weather made it impossible. It's definitely on my bucket list now! Afterward, we traveled to Lausanne, Switzerland off of Lake Geneva (it was absolutely gorgeous there and I wish we had stayed longer) and then took a night train to Rome - my last destination. We are fortunate enough to have colder weather here because the news reported it being "sultry," or scorching heat weather! I love traveling, but I also miss life and people back home:) See you all soon!!
