Good on you, though I have a hard time thinking you've contributed much to recent drama. I have been skimming through a thread or two, but that's about it. Shame that Michael felt he had to leave LJ though.
Along with others, I was one of those that consistently questioned Catholicism, which assisted in nerds' post, which led to the blowout.
I don't think Michael's leaving was solely do to lj drama. Hopefully, he'll come back soon. It sucks that he left without saying anything, tho'. I guess that's one of those joys of internetland; you can slip through the cracks without so much as a letter of resignation.:-)
He left after a rather forceful series of comments in his journal regarding politics and media bias. That's what I can gather, considering he deleted his journal during the event. I'm thinking he'll come back around after the elections. I'm hoping, anyway.
Unfortunately, our new internet provider does not understand the concept of service mindedness. We have been fighting them for five weeks and more to get back on line. Turns out it was a faulty cable, and the actual fixing process only took an afternoon's work by two technicians. How hard can it be? Some people!
I'd also been talking to him on AIM (and once IRL), among other things about our common problem of having trouble ignoring LJ when it is time to do other things.

If you do talk to him again, tell him his LJ friends are thinking about him (particularly after last Thursday's debate...).
