A List of Some Things I Hope to Have Five Years Now, in no particular order:
1. An award-winning book of my own. Because the act of creation is a reward in itself, but affirmation
2. A small business of my own.
3. A local comics scene that's finally outgrown its manga fetish, with a broad range of easily available, whether in print or on web, of a wide range of comics material.
4. A new digital camera, and a proper PDA-phone.
5. A book published or available abroad.
6. Tranquility.
7. A career in comics that allows me to be relatively inactive, releasing maybe one or two books a year, yet still being recognized and generally well-received for it. This most likely means a couple more years of me making noise and generating a sizable library of works before slowly fading into a hermitage.
8. The One.
9. Health.
10. Family, though not necessarily one of my own. I like having a stable unit of people you can trust and depend on, that you can come home to every day. I dislike transience, however a necessary component of life it may be.
11. I think I want to be out of the country.
12. An income that will afford me some luxury. Not too much, but I would like to be able to buy a book or DVD every so often, without having to sacrifice a lunch or two by doing so.
