An inauguration and snow? Simply amazing.
Snow first. Well, it's white and incredible. Also very cold. Perhaps one of the best parts (other than the moment I first looked out the window) was getting back to my apartment and changing out of my very wet socks. But on the whole, fresh snow is amazing. I love how people react to snow days. Lots of pictures and snow-flinging are involved.
The super coldness of it all is making me rethink going to grad school in the North. How do people survive? Possibly by buying rain boots. Or galoshes, which may be the same thing.
In other news, I watched, no, listened to (there were too many people already packed into the Campus Y) the latter part of Obama's inauguration speech. It seemed a very vague but uplifting and appropriate speech. He is a very good speaker, but sometimes I wonder whether he's relatable. But then, I guess presidents don't have to be relatable.
I also spent most of the speech listening for history-making sound bites because I love the media like that.
Going to see Rent this weekend. Clearly I need to listen to the soundtrack more so I can be more obnoxious while singing along.
Also, considering some more hair cutting/layering. My hair looks rather disastrous lately, and my dad bought me nice haircutting scissors from China. :D So we'll see how that goes.
