January 1, 2006. Love and Theatre.

Jan 01, 2006 14:04

January 1st, 2006.

To a twentieth year of life... a 16th year of theatre, a 2nd year, 15 months and four days of Craig, a 2nd third of Stanford, a third year of directing, and many many more years of all of the wonderful people who make life fantastic.

Now if only I had some alcohol to toast with.

Just a few wishes for 2006:
1. I hope that Cabaret is the amazing experience I want it to be
2. I hope that our basketball team gets better (and if not, that Trent Johnson gets fired BEFORE we graduate)
3. I hope that Arnold is OUT, and is replaced by a democratic governor who values edu-fucking-cation.
4. I hope that America reaches the end of it's rope and starts swinging back to the left.
5. I hope that Ram's Head survives the passing of the torch.
6. I hope life continues being as amazing as it has been this past year.
7. I hope Craig and I get to spend New Year's together next year. :-)

And a few resolutions:
1. To wash my hair every other day and keep it pretty. :-)
2. To tap dance.
3. To sing.
4. To spend more time with Julia.
5. To go to San Francisco more often.
6. To see more theatre.
7. To speak more German.
8. To go to Berlin.
9. To love.
10. To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because I have lived.
(Inaccurately attributed to Ralph Waldo Emerson)
