Moxy Früvous
anyone ever heard of Moxy Früvous before? theyre not together anymore but i've heard a song or 2 by them on XPN in the past few months and became intrigued.
funny, i heard the first song somewhere back around Christmas & it intrigued me so much that i went XPN's site & looked up the playlist from the day to figure out who it was. the band name slipped my mind over the months & then i heard another song yesterday morning that was equally melodic and humorous. i sat there thinking... this couldnt be that same group that did that other silly song i heard months ago, could it? and then the artist was announced and sure enough, it was. i decided that was my cue to investigate. this morning i found a couple albums by them... yay :)
check out these 3 songs... theyre all from the same album, which came out 15 years ago. My Baby Loves a Bunch of Authors was the one i heard around Christmas time. King of Spain was the one i heard yesterday morning. Gulf War Song, i just think its pretty. the song is all a cappella and there's some really pretty vocal harmony going on. kinda reminds me of the song of Extreme's song "More Than Words".
