so i must say, i've listened to it constantly since Tuesday & i totally love Rachael's new album. i've listened to the first part mostly (it's an album in 2 parts) & i totally adore it. the only song that bores me slightly is What If I Leave & i think it's just due to the production. the general feel of the song changed from when she performed it live to the album version. my favorite tracks would have to be Elephants, Little Life, Sunday Afternoon, Over & Over, and Horizon (almost all the songs.. haha). Faster is clearly my favorite from the 2nd part of the record, which i haven't listened to as much. anyways though, Faster just totally kicks ass.

just cause i have nothing else to do at the moment, i'm uploading my favorite songs for those who may not have checked out the album when i posted it before...

Elephants - makes reference to elephants & tigers and draws a parallel between elephants forgetting and trying to forget a former flame
Little Life - song about someone who died and tragedy of it
Sunday Afternoon - "i'm not gonna live for you, or die for you, or do anything anymore for you" "i'm not gonna shed one more tear for you... at least not til Sunday Afternoon" highly recommended
Duet - not a huge fav of mine, but the duet is with Ray LaMontagne, for anyone who likes his music. their voices are a perfect match for each other. i remember thinking various times in the past that Ray's voice sounded kinda like a male equivalent of Rachael's
Over & Over - "i really thought i was ok, i really thought i was just fine but when i woke this time... there was nothing to keep you off my mind"
Horizon - talks about a relationship going off course & talks about losing/trying to find the horizon - "i've been all around the world & nothing is clear"
Faster - this just kicks ass (she performed it on Leno last night... anyone see it?). "i'm going faster, youre going backwards, youre gonna miss me when i'm gone" highly recommended

download and enjoy!!

last night we watched, amongst other things, that new Kath & Kim show, and it was actually kinda funny. Selma Blair's characters is so outta touch with reality & is such a bitch but that makes it all the more funny.

i stayed home sick 2 days this week cause i had no voice. i thought i had laryngitis so i went to the doctor yesterday. he prescibed Z-Pack for me which is some kind of antibiotic. i'm on day 2 now & feeling a little better. at least i can talk.

well, i'm off to watch Mary Poppins. booyah

mp3s, rachael yamagata, sick
