(no subject)
wow i got quite some funny comments about that whole G string deal... on AIM and on the MBMB from various people. *amused* however i went to the music store and bought myself a string, not a whole nother box, cause that wouldnt make much sense since i already have all the others. yay for being able to buy individual strings.
well this week i'll be playing at Italian Affair for 3 nights instead of the usual 2. the guy who usually plays on Saturday called and asked if i could play instead, cause he's busy. which is kinda good and kinda not so good... good cause, well.. obviously that just = more money. bad cause some family friends are coming over Saturday afternoon and i'll have to leave before dinner. and also, it gets kinda boring playing the same songs every night. ah well. then this next week i'll be babysitting the cousins again. they were away at camp this past week so i've had the past few days to be bored and do nothing. blahhh. i still didnt deposit my check from my aunt that i got before the cruise. i should probably do that, since its for $200-some, i believe.
i dont know what else to say. we went out to dinner tonight to Hollywood (*edit* no, not Hollywood, CA... Hollywood Diner/Cafe.. haha.. its just known as Hollywood around here) and got free cheesecake, as my sister works there and said she could get us free dessert. not that i should be eating cheesecake anyway, but whatever. i'll have to hit up the gym tomorrow. yeahhhh.
and thanks to those who commented on my uber-emo post last night. Jenna.. yeah, thats true about the Eitels and Daltons.. heh. i think they probably did more nothing than something :P but i dont know... i'm just not sure how well i'd do in that position. i wouldnt wanna have to teach general music to younger kids who probably dont care at all about it... i remember those days in elementary school when everyone hated music class and thought it was stupid. maybe that was cause we had some boring teachers, i guess. and i could probably do an ok job conducting, even though i dreaded every time in conducting class when i'd have to get up there. ugh. *shrug* and Tal, i'm up for ideas... i've heard lotsa stuff before and have a basic idea of what to do, though its hard at the moment, being that i'm not exactly in the middle of a city (but not toooo far from one). i just need to hooked get up with the right people :P i forget if i wrote about this before or not.. but my aunt's mom said she has a friend out in CA who's some kind of producer/exec for Trading Spaces (yeah, the TLC show), and that her boyfriend is someone big in the music business. i'm gonna talk to her and see if she can hook me up with this guy.. hehe. *whew* ok thats all for now.
