i've decided... it should be a law that everyone should have a bed that they really love. cause there are few things better than collapsing onto a nice, soft, comfortable bed at the end of a long day and letting all of the day's problems just drift away for awhile. at least in my opinion. i <3 my bed. *random*
i did something kind of cool tonight... i logged into Webmail and went back through all of my sent mail from the past 3 or so years. the stuff in that folder is primarily stuff i sent while either in the piano lab or at home for weekends and stuff... essentially, whenever i wasnt on my main computer or when Outlook was being gay. so yeah, i went back and found all of these little compositions i did last year. like all of the stuff i had to do for Theory IV (with good ol' Kleinsorge *tear*), and the random little snippets of stuff that i started for my composition lessons. and i'd totally forgotten that i'd written some of that stuff. and, some of it was really cool!! so since i cant send the stuff back to myself (since someone set up the computers in the lab so that you cant freakin save anything in Finale anymore), i printed it all out. i counted in the end... 33 pages. yayness. i wanted to save the stuff as MIDI files but then.. oh yeah... you cant save anything. fuckin a. but yeah, i enjoyed listening to all that stuff again, and at least now i have hard copies.
went to hear this guy give a talk about religion tonight, for extra credit for my World Religions class. my prof had made him out to be a really exciting, dynamic guy. now not that he wasnt a bit exciting, but he certainly wasn't as entertaining as i'd imagined. if i learned anything, it would have to be... don't read lots of stuff verbatim off of papers when giving a speech, as your listeners will become bored and lose where you're going. just rely on your own knowledge and things will be more interesting for the audience. yeehah.
tonight is cool cause i dont really have anything to do for tomorrow. so i could do whatever right now. maybe i'll watch tv or a movie.
i'm going home tomorrow morning because i am seeing a singer with the initials of M.B. in Atlantic City. bet you cant guess.. ha. i'll hopefully be going with my friend Robin (actually an online acquaintance, but she's cool ;P).. we just have to work out our plans as to where to meet up and stuff. it will be a primarily acoustic concert, apparently.. yay acoustic. et alors mon anniversaire est dimanche. *random urge to write in French*
