Hmm, this weekend ♥
Friday night my plans got fucked up big time. BIG TIME LIKE WHOA. Blessed Endeavor played a free show with The Midnight Renewal in Haverhill, and I was pretty excited about it, because a lot of people that I hadn't seen from the summer were going to be there, and I just predicted a real good time. Nikki, Kortni, Robin, and Keith were supposed to meet me at the show, and I was supposed to bring Berto. Unfortunately, Kortni woke up Friday morning feeling under the weather. (must've been Johnny Rockets the night before, eh?!?) so much to EVERYONE's dismay, she wasn't going to be able to make it to the show, meaning Nikki, Robin, and Keith weren't going either. (By the way, she's feeling better now ♥). So as I'm getting my nails done, relaxing and whatnot, I decide to call Berto to let him know I'll be picking him up somewhat late. Come to find out, he was also sick as a dog. Wonderful! So he wasn't going either. That meant I had to head to the show BY MYSELF - I still planned on going, seeing as I told many people I would, and since I was planning on meeting Dani there. I hate showing up places alone. It makes me feel extremely... *searches for a thesaurus* oh, you know what I mean. All in all, the show was a pretty good time. I made a couple new friends, and I like that. I left somewhat early, which was probably for the best. I needed rest for what I had planned for Saturday.
Now we get to the interesting aspects of my weekend. You're so excited to read this, and you know it. (Actually, a majority of you are probably stopping at this point, meaning you will not find out the ever so exciting conclusion of my ever so eventful weekend. -Sigh- Your loss.
...Onward! So departure from my humble abode took place at approximately 1:00 on Saturday afternoon. Not Bad. Michelle and I headed down to Harvard Square, where we ended up going around in a circle about 12 times, listening to Senses Fail with the windows down. The townies loved us. Finally we picked up Rob and Trevor, and found a *fairly* inexpensive parking garage. We parked my car, and were on our way. It was gorgeous outside. We watched a Bob Dylan impersonator for like 7 minutes. Gah. There was also a Magician, and he blatantly stated that he was from England. I believe his words were "I'm from England! I'm English! Does anybody care?!"
...Apparently not. So we decided to head over to Urban Outfitters then to the Garage for some pizza. That we did. I love the garage. We looked at some flyers outside of Newbury Comics, There was a show last night in Cambridge - Slapshot, Hammer Bros, and some others - needless to say we didn't go. The Easter Bunny flipped Trevor off, though. Nice. Real nice. So, we ate some Hawaiian pizza. That is some good stuff. We then ventured back to the car, only to stop and watch the magic show for a bit. The magician was ridiculous. He insulted everybody, in a really cynical way. It was absolutely hilarious though. Finally, we snuck off (fearing that he'd call us out for leaving, he got pleasure in embarassing people for doing random things).
We headed back to the car, and went to Rob's apartment. We watched a couple episodes of Family Guy, blah blah blah, this part is boring. Yeah. Then Michelle and I dropped Trevor off at AI so he could record. We had 2 hours more or less to kill. We drove around aimlessly, until we decided to go to the old towns I used to live in. We went to Needham, drove through the center of town, then decided to head over to Dedham. It was so weird driving through that place. We took the same route we used to take on our bikes, back in the day. It was so strange being in a car. We then headed back to Brookline to pick Trevor up. Michelle and I make a great team. It's because she's xtuffx. Yeah. We made it back to AI with little to no problems (okay, maybe we had to stop at 7/11 in Jamaica Plain and ask a drunk woman for directions, and MAYBE we stopped at a gas station too, but all in all, we were fine.)
We picked Trev up, came back to Michelle's and watched Corky Romano.
I slept like a baby.
The End.
P.S. We were on a busy road in some scary city (probably Dorchester or Mattapan or something) and we parked in front of a pizza place, but just to make sure it was okay to park there, I rolled down my window and asked the closest cab driver...
"Hey! Is it okay to park here?" "
Absolutely not. Try going around the corner. And lock your doors."
...Yeah.
