"im not afraid to let people in at all. im just afraid of misrepresenting myself."

exactly.

you just explained one of my biggest problems.

if you can, read the short story "Jaws" by Donald Barthleme.
it deals with this problem. in a really original way.

if you can't find that story, i will make you a copy.
no worries.

i just looked it up and have the call number and everything. ill make a quick stop by the library at some point tomorrow.

we havent talk for a very long time. this is not good at all. i acutally feel like i get somewhere when i talk to you.

how are your classes this fall?
any plans to visit muncie!?

you should really visit when theres leaves on the ground and colorful trees and that whole fall thing going on. we can talk over warm apple cider? sound tempting enough?

yes. i agree. we must talk, and soon.

could i even call your cell?
do you get free minutes or something at sometime?

the classes are very nice.

and yes, that sounds tempting enough indeed.
i will begin trying to scratch out some plans today. (!)

you can call my cell.
do you have the number?
no free minutes but that doesnt matter.

i read that story last night!
i liked it very much. especially the bit about people finding comfort in being told they are under stress.

ill read more of his short stories since i have two books checked out already.

i am very happy you liked the story.

beyond happy.

the stress thing was a very interesting point to pick up on.
that part makes me smile, also.

there are a good deal of comments in the story.
it creates a very sarcastic tone,
one of my favorite things about the story.

what about the ending?
did you feel that related to your concerns about "misrepresenting" who you are?

that ending had a huge impact on me ... and consequently when you brought up the concern of misrepresentation .. i recalled the story.

it is obvious that i need to talk to you soon.
share all these thoughts, and definately hear your thoughts.
