she knows what she doesn't
she knows what she can't
she knows more than she knows what she thinks.
and brinks have come to stretching points
where points are to small to have brinks.
the more ready she thinks she is, the more ready she isnt
shes sorry but she isn't and
shes lost but shes not.
she feels older, not wiser,
and her chest feels too hot.
and she never wanted to rhyme
or tie or even match for that matter.
but sadder she grew over pictures of you
cause she never meant to pry, but she did.
Cause her eyes are just windows
and her head is just a lid.
but eyes do dry and lids get lost,
and crossed legs have wooden pegs for toes
this little peggy went to school.
this little peggy went home.
