Updates
One of the guys who broke into my house has pleaded guilt to the burglary charges. The city dropped the larceny charges. His lawyer asked that he be allowed to spend the month until his sentencing with his mother in the house that he was living in while burglarizing our neighborhood. The judge said no as he was a "danger to the community". This house is on the other side of a wooded area my house borders! Thank you, your honor!
The other guys trial date in June 15. I have a summons for that. I am planning even if he pleads out because I think I need to see this guy to get some closure.
Speaking of closure. The Sabres season (NHL Hockey) is over. The lost in Eastern Conference Finals which they also lost last year. They are a really good team but they have emphasized speed which works great in the regular season but doesn't help so much in the play-offs. So, hopefully the management can keep the majority of the team together for next year. The co-captians are both up for contract renews and have stated that they wany to stay in Buffalo. The NHL now has a salary cap so the management might not be able to keep them both. I'm a bit on pins and needles about it. But what will happen, will happen!
We had a C&A for security audit this past week at work. The team that did the audit was very complimentary of our people. Makes me feel good as about three years ago I was put in charge of the security team. I've had to push and prod to get folks more focused on it. Looks like that has worked! Although, no good deed goes unpunished. We are expecting to get extra work thrown our way because of it! Oh well.
