Finally!! I'm here with my summary post!!
This one brought in a LOT of epic flailage, I have to admit I wasn't expecting everyone to get so crazy excited and into it. It will be interesting trying to summarise it, but here goes.

Oh, so Shige also loves his left handedness... :-) Actually Junno also says the same about his... he likes the reaction he gets whenever others find out that he's left handed... I think it's soooooo sexy!

and speaking about Shige and Elite... I finally watched his 2008 SCP episode and I came to know so much about him... how he started out thinking he's elite but then it was just sheer luck.

But when I think about it, he was still smart from the start... and maybe it wasn't luck at all why he got where he was during such a short time... instead, and from what I gather from Shige's personality, he probably got scared or rather intimidated by Ryo and Yamapi - and if his personality is anything like mine, where if I'm freaking out then that's the end of things, then everything will go bad once we get set in a negative frame of mind... hmmm that's what I think.

But in any case, the fact that he's now humble cancels off that 'snobbish' attitude he thought the had bad then >.<

I do think Shige has a aura of elitism to himself... I find him quite elegant.

he's the humble type of elite yes. I do agree with everything you said (as always)!! It's his intelligence and his way with words that makes him seem that way I think. He always talks about having a brain that's more mature then his peers of the same age group, and I think that tends to bring it on. It's another of the things I can relate well to him with. I always tended to be a little bit ahead of my peers in ways of thinking.... I mean a 14 year old girl with common sense?!?!?! it's unheard of!!! And even in primary school I was teased for being "miss perfect" simply because..... one... I was intelligent... two... teachers loved me because I actually followed rules (because I understood the need for them), and three.. because I tended not to play with the other kids all that often because they just didn't understand me. So I was kind of labelled with the 'elite' tag myself. I love his maturity of thought!! And the best part is that he isn't cursed like me in being unable to express his thoughts but is also is brilliant at that.
You might be right with the yamapi and ryo thing, I think Shige always tends to compare himself with the best, but at the same time likes to be the best himself. In his own little Kato kingdom he was the best.... maybe not at individual things, but he was looked up to. Then he got thrown into a group of people who were all "the best" in some shape or form. And he was also one of the youngest. I think you can see it a lot, but tegoshi was fawned over as the youngest, but everyone often forgot that Shige is the same age. It's a curse really, thinking in a way that is beyond the norm for your years. He might have been able to analyse the world maturely but he still hadn't developed the emotional maturity that comes only from life and experiences, not necessarily intelligence. That's where I think the whole negativity thing kicks in. He compared himself to others, analysed everything to death but didn't know how to emotionally deal with the results of such comparisons. lol i hope at least a small amount of that makes sense, I've kind of lost what I was trying to say int he process of typing so it ended up all over the place haha. Proof again that I'm not like shige in being able to express myself.
I just love him ok, I love how real he is, i love that we are similar, I love his mind, I love his smile, I love his all. He is my description of perfection. I think that sums it up XD

glad you finally got to watch that SCP interview ^^ they are always the best XD

I will have to find you the essay when he talks about his left handedness, I'll look it up for you when I get home from work. LOL I always forget Junno is left handed, not sure why, but EVERY time I see him doing something with his left hand I get that excited feeling as if I only just discovered it haha my memory is absurd.

I'm the opposite of you, I always forget that Shige is left-handed (and I forgot whether I actually even knew that to begin with but I suppose I did at some point of time). Anyway the main point of my comment was so say that...

I HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY AS SHIGE AND I AM ALSO LEFT HANDED AND I ALSO HAVE A TON OF HOBBIES although they are all at Junno's level of expertise

That's probably why I can identify with him, and my friend even said once that I reminded her of Shige >__>;;
