(no subject)
So. With LJ's latest fuckery and being so slow and such, I finally bought paid time on Dreamwidth. :) I'm not sure if I will ever move all the way over, but at this way I am supporting a site that's done very well at acknowledging issues when they happen, at least.
So! On to a show I've been enjoying watching, Glee.
Okay, yeah, this show has a MULTITUDE of issues. But so far, at least, I enjoy the show enough that I can acknowledge the issues and still continue watching.
There are always good moments and moments that make me cringe, and this was one of those moments.
As
cirakaite said, the lead female singer for Vocal Adrenaline looked old. Like, far too old for high school. That was my one problem with the group, though they were fun to watch :P
I love love love the continuing development between Quinn and Mercedes, even if it feels *slightly* forced at times. It's partly because the cast is so huge and they focus on Will & Sue and Rachel & Finn etc so much that they don't develop the other characters as much as they could/should. But the Finn/Mercedes bits have been building, interspersed here and there, so it worked for me.
Will's whole storyline with Sue made me uncomfortable - I could sort of see where he was coming from, but at the same time - ugh, NO. I'm just glad that none of the students were aware of it.
Was it just me, or was that the fastest divorce I've seen in ages on TV? Or are they usually that short and they just seemed dragged out in the media, etc? I was glad they brought Terri back in, though, because that was a storyline we needed to see more of - and I'd like to see her get some more development, if she's coming back.
I liked how they mixed up the groups for the songs, too - Puck, Mercedes and Finn? Awesome :D Though obviously Puck and Mercedes were carrying that. Seriously, Cory Monteith needs to work on his singing, he's just...bland.
I'm excited for the finale! I just hope that the whispers of backlash that I've been seeing aren't gong to come to fruition. :/ Hopefully a summer break from the show will give people some time to feel the love again.
