Oh, he's good. Not only does he gently tease the reporter, but he then goes on to imply that terrorists have chosen to reside in Pakistan and Afghanistan, rather than that those two countries have terrorists. A very small distinction, but the fact that he put it in there just speaks volumes for his ability to think on his feet and avoid offending people.It changes it from saying that those two countries are harbouring terrorists and therefore evil to those coutnries unfortunately having terrorists within their borders.
It makes me laugh, actually, because a commenter says that he is inarticulate... When in fact his pauses are the sign of a man who is thinking very, very carefully about what he is going to say and how he wants to say it. Which is why I admire him and actually pay more attention to what he's doing than my own country, which I should probably work on. *ahem* I could tell you that the Juno awards were in Vancouver last week...? -amused-
