So the code names for the Obamas are apparently Renegade, Renaissance, Radiance and Rosebud.

If this is true - I got it from ET Canada, haha - then oh my god I LOVE them, haha. Seriously, they all MATCH and Sasha is Rosebud! I love it.

That's true (although PRESIDENT OBAMA is actually Renegade, which is probably what you meant to type, but just in case). Michelle Obama's is my favorite; they picked Renaissance because the Secret Service agents consider her to be a renaissance woman.

It is indeed accurate - the Secret Service tends to assign codenames to members of a principle's family starting with the same letter the principle's does, though sometimes there'll be additional codenames which don't confirm. As for the names themselves, well, the SS folk seem to enjoy their cryptic references; Reagan was "Rawhide" (and in fact, Sasha & Malia's codenames are re-uses of those of Reagan's kids/in-laws), which figures given that he was another fake-cowboy president, Dubya is "Tumbler", which seems appropriate on so many levels, Cheney is also rather appropriately "Angler"!
